The folks at Adaptec claim that the GameBridge can turn your computer into an entertainment center that can play console games and function like a normal television.
Plus, for the low low price of $99, you are able to record live t.v. as well as your gaming sessions.
Sounds great, but does it work?
Reviews:
DenGuru: (Recommended) “The GameBridge lives up to its claims; it provides you with the ability to watch TV and record TV, play console games and DVDs on your computer display, and turn your PC or laptop into a fully functional home theater PC. If I did not already own a home theater PC, I would most likely add this product to my gear collection.”
TeamXBox: (9 out of 10) “We have no complaints about the product’s performance; we love the GameBridge concept, but in the HD Era, a device that has no component video inputs and only captures images in standard definition with MPEG-2 encoding looks like it is coming late to the party.”
“We hope that in the near future, Adaptec launches a third model that incorporates component video inputs and lets you record HDTV in any of the MPEG-4 variants.”
“In the meantime, the GameBridge has no competitor and remains as the best option for you to record and replay your videogames.”

Bottom Line:
While I agree with Team XBox that an update to the Gamebridge that will take advantage of HD would be fantastic, the bottom line is that it does what it is advertised to do. And you really can’t beat the $99 price tag.
