First user experiences with the XBox Racing wheel are out, and by all accounts it makes the driving games even more enjoyable than they were already.

Reviews:

Xbox Canadian Live: “So is the wheel worth the money? I would say right now if you can’t stop thinking about it go out and get it. Playing through PGR3 should be an entirely new experience plus you will be ready once the 800 pound gorilla aka Forza 2 hits shelves next year.”

My Gadget Info: “Long story short, this is the best thing to happen to Xbox 360 racing games. Ever. If you’re a racing fan—or just want to become a racing fan—get this controller. Seriously.”

Bottom line: While you can use it with games that that are not designed for this forced feedback controller, they can be tweaked to work reasonably well. But on Project Gotham Racing 3 which was designed for forced feedback, it is awesome. They even include an updated version to work properly with the wheel. Controller is well designed and has enough weight to make for a good, solid experience. While it is wirelessly connected to the Xbox, the wheel does have a cord to the pedals, and the forced feedback requires the AC adapter to be plugged in.
