Splinter CellUbisoft has announced that the next installment in the Splinter Cell series, originally slated for a spring release, will be pushed back until September 2006.

The company cited the desire to release the game on all platforms simutaneously as the reason behind the delay. And by all systems, they mean all but the PS3 – at least for now. (There has been no word about whether or not a PS3 version is currently in the works.)

The good news is that there are plenty of Ubisoft games slated for release between now and March. Check out the list:

  • And 1 Streetball (PS2, Xbox)

  • CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder (PC)
