N Gage

Handheld gamings longest running joke is back from the grave  after dying a horrible death, not once – but twice.

Believe it or not, Nokia is taking another stab at the market – and this time they are throwing strategy out the window and coming in with both guns blazing. In other words, they are going with the old kill em’ with hardware angle. Apparently, “their processors will run three or four times faster than those in the N-Gage, and many will have 3D graphics chips.” They will also be utilizing Sony published software.

N-Gage Arena will be back and users will also be able to download games instantaneously over Wi-Fi or 3G. They can also transfer games via their PC.

You have to give it to Nokia for their “never say die” attitude, but I can’t help but think that they will just end up throwing more money away on this one.
