If you aren’t familiar with Project Triforce, they make some of the best 1:1 scale gaming replicas out there. We’re talking stuff for fanatical collectors with deep pockets. Their Gears Of War 3 Locust Hammerburst II replica is a perfect example.
We got our hands on one. We needed both because it’s 36-inches long and weighs 35 pounds. It retails for $850 (on sale for $722.49 until midnight March 25th) and there’s even a gold version (on sale for $764.99).
It’s utterly (and delightfully) insane.

When I first picked up the gun I kinda felt like this guy:
Or maybe this guy:
I mean, I’m 6′ 3″. This thing is huge.
Oh, and did I mention that it has LED effects?
Let’s take a look at the detail:
The detail and accuracy of this Gears Of War replica is truly astounding. It’s cast in polystone, hand-finished and hand-painted. The result is a real museum quality kind of piece. As I mentioned before, TriForce is aiming this squarely at hardcore collectors that don’t flinch at dropping big money on a decoration for their ridiculously awesome game room.
It would work as a top quality cosplay prop as well, though you definitely won’t want to haul this beast around a convention. It’s far too heavy and unwieldy to hold for any length of time.
If you happen to be one of those hardcore collectors, now is the time to grab one. Both the standard and gold versions are 15% off until midnight tonight (March 24-25th). Both are temporarily out of stock, but a new shipment is coming soon and can be ordered now. It’s also important to note that only 500 pieces were made of the standard version and only 100 of the gold version, so quantities are very limited.
