Where Are All Of The Good Game Endings?

Over the years, developers have spent less and less time crafting decent endings to their games. I mean, when you spend a considerable amount of time working your way through a game, you expect to be rewarded right?
This was never more true than in the early days when playing your way through a game was often brutally difficult. More often than not, the games delivered on an ending worthy of your effort.
Game Revolution has undertaken the daunting task of compiling the best game endings for those of us who are old enough to remember the classics.
