Chartered Semiconductor of Singapore has revealed that they will be upgrading the current chip from 90nm to 65nm - which means a smaller, thinner chip that will generate less heat.
This will also make the XBox 360 cheaper to produce - which is good news for Microsoft given the fact that they are taking a big loss on each console.
The big question is, does this upgrade have the potential to make new XBox 360 faster?
