Last month a side by side comparison of the PS3 and the XBox 360s graphics capabilities seemed to indicate that there was very little difference between the two consoles. This time Gamespot has taken it a step further by saying that the XBox 360 actually fared better than the PS3 from a visual perspective.
“The Xbox 360 had better graphics in almost all the games we examined. The 360’s biggest victories were in Madden 07 and Fight Night Round 3, where the differences in texture detail and lighting stood out in our comparison shots. We couldn’t capture this in the screenshots, but the Xbox 360 games generally offered better framerates too.“
There is no doubt that this conclusion will piss off a lot of hardcore Playstation fans. However, as I indicated in the previous analysis (and Gamespot argues this same point), Sony’s developers have not had enough time with the console to really push it’s limits. The real battle will come next year when game companies have had plenty of time under the hood of both consoles.

PS3 iss way better than 360 because PS3 outsold them in the clossing mounths in 2007 and so far leads in 2008. People that own 360’s go out and now by PS3’s. And PS3 is about to do something the 360 could not dream of doing– pass the Wii in sales. 360 has their own games, but in 2009, PS3 will already have killzone2 and the new socom , and the new resistence. So just like XBox 1, PS3 is going to bury 360.

This article is BS first of all, and second of all… Wii isn’t even part of this war. Wii doesnt fit the hardcore gaming genre of the X360 or the Playstation 3. And every developer, every game industry, every reviewer in the entire world already confirmed the PS3’s graphics… they are better than the 360’s not by a long shot, but they are better. When games are going to be produced on the PS3 first, then you will see the big diffrence… but never in my life had I heard someone say the 360 Graphics are better than the PS3, unless they where a fanboy. Game-over X360… and hopefully Wii (Shitty system… Don’t buy it)

Well tbh the games graphics on both systems are down to how good the graphic designers who make the game, so between xbox 360 and ps3 there shouldn’t be much of a difference.
the only thing i will say is that the PS3 is a true HD console, and DISPLAYS upto 1080p,
whereas the Xbox 360 SCALES up to 1080p.
also how come Xbox 360 is 7th con anyways?
it should be sixth con because it uses the same
disc as PS2 and Xbox. and as it’s only a DVD disc console now… y do people still pay the same price for a game as the ps3.

between the 360 and the ps3 i think that right now they match each other stride for stride. but i definatily think the ps3 will rise up against the 360 in a year or so. im also looking forward to upcoming titles like killzone 2, resistance 2 that will blow the 360 away

You sony fanboys amaze me. Do some research play some games on the 360 and tell me the graphics aren’t better, here it is closing in on two years the ps3 has been out, still its inferior to the 360, online its no contest! Most games play smoother and have higher frame rates on the 360. Blu ray doesn’t mean shit as far as graphics go, all it is is more storage space, I’m pretty sure I’m not to lazy to change discs to have a better gaming experience on the 360. I am not an ms fanboy, I have both systems and there isn’t crap going for the ps3 except it being a blu ray player,for every ps3 exclusive there is something better for the 360. And please don’t talk about how psn is free so its a strong point for ps3. Psn is free because it sucks, if you can’t afford 50 a year for xbl then why are you buying 60 dollar games. Sony may still win this generation, but they are going to have to start making good games and fast. For at least the next two years the 360 will remain the premiere gaming console

and FYI 360 dont be burried by PS3 or even for future release from Sony. It will only be burried when Microsoft releases their new console system or discontinued making consoles. Game Comapnies will continue to make games for every New console there is.
Also, PC > consoles why spend hundrends of dollars buying a new console every release? let alone that 80% of everyone who owns a console BUYs the games which makes you spend even more.

Forgot to mention a decent Gaming PC would last you years to come, hell my AMD mobile4 with no graphic card could run WoW and Guild Wars with no lag. And I only recently spent $700 for a QuadCore Gamer PC, which will last me for like 10~15 more years
And yes I know there will be lots of games for consoles ONLY but that doesn’t mean there wont be emulators. Even if they are slow and full of bugs, they are bound to be useable and playable.
Also look at Dynasty Warriors 6, they even made a PC version for it, I pitty consoles, but I do love playing some of the games, however PC is superior.

Yea I agree it’s been out for this long and still it’s inferior to 360. Now I can say microsoft are money hungry vampires but hey I go for graphics and gameplay. And from my years of gaming I can say 360 twerks out more visuals and details than that of the ps3. Look at every game comparison online, Hell by both and compare them xbox wins everytime much higher fps and xbox live rocks ass big time. Except for that damn fee!! I don’t understand why this brand new system has lower graphics than this system that’s been out this damn long I mean what the hell was sony doing all these years. Not baggin either way, but i just purchased my ps3 and have been a little dissapointed. It does not blow away my 360 like i had thought. I feel some games actually have poorer textures and dont run as well. At least I have teh blu ray player though. I’m still thinking about ditching the ps3 though.
