If you are a hard core gamer with plenty of cash to burn and already have a water cooling system in place, then maybe you need to check out the GeForce 8800 GTX Water Cooled model. The 8800 GTX is a superb graphics card in it’s own right, but when you add a factory water cooling block pre-installed you have gone to the next level.
Of course any card can be water cooled, but that would involve installing your own water block and voiding the warranty. This way you can have water cooling and a warranty.
BitTech has a nice review of the product. They show that without overclocking it matches the regularly cooled version of the card pretty much exactly. But they experimented with the overclocking and found that they could overclock it by 20% and get a stable gameplay experience. They also found that running it at this overclocked speed resulted in a temperature that was lower than the idle state of the normally cooled version. That is pretty impressive.
Now before you go drop $900-1000 on this unit, keep in mind that it does not include the actual water cooling system. The card simply has a water cooling block with connections to attach to an existing system.
