Halo Fan Built A Working Cortana Holographic Personal Assistant [Video]

Microsoft is attempting to position their Cortana personal assistant as a serious Alexa competitor, but if they really want to climb that mountain, they should pay very close attention to what YouTuber “untitled network” has done with his Halo-inspired hologram appliance. See it in action below.

This is a concept Cortana appliance I’ve built. It’s basically what I imagined Microsoft’s version of Alexa or Google Home would be like if they were to use the holographic AI sidekick from the Halo franchise. While still a work in progress, I just wanted to show how it’s coming along.

This awesome effect was achieved with a 3D printer, LEDs, the Unity 3D app, and an Arduino. It’s even capable of real-time face tracking.

More info on the build is available here Microsoft. Yeah, I’m talking to you. Contact this guy and offer him a job immediately.
