25 Verde, an incredible urban treehouse apartment in Turin, Italy is the work of Luciano Pia. The idea was to lift the plants off the ground and into the sky to provide a whimsical escape from an otherwise very urban landscape.
The complex includes 150 trees and a variety of deciduous plants from the area that absorb 200,000 liters of carbon dioxide every hour. The 63 unit building also blocks some of the city’s noise and creates its own microclimate for more even temperatures during cold and hot months.
