NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory is drawing attention to some of the most exciting space discoveries of the past year with a series of gorgeous, retro-style tourism posters for space exploration.
The designs were created by Seattle-based firm Invisible Creature Studios for the 2016 “Visions of the Future” calendar project and, according to founders Don and Ryan Clark, the subject matter is in their wheelhouse:
“We, of course, were ecstatic, just because our grandfather was an illustrator at NASA for 30 years, and so this is kind of our first NASA project.”
The 2016 calendar was commissioned for NASA staff and government officials, but the complete collection is available for download in high-res on the JPL website. Prints are also available on the Invisible Creature Studios website. Check out additional examples below.
