Wealthy apartment dwellers in London are about to get a thrilling upgrade with this insane Sky Pool. The 8-inch thick, 65-foot long glass pool will stretch between two apartment buildings in London’s Nine Elms district. This one-of-a-kind water-bridge will suspend brave swimmers 10 stories above London for an experience that must be akin to flying.
Ballymore Group CEO Sean Mulryan vision stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries of construction and engineering. In a recent interview with The Guardian Mulryan said:
“I wanted to do something that had never been done before. The Sky Pool’s transparent structure is the result of significant advancements in technologies over the last decade. The experience of the pool will be truly unique; it will feel like floating through the air in central London.”
On site construction begins this year and expected to be completed by 2018.
