The Thaw Ice Candle works by filling a white silicone mold with water, freezing it, and placing the mold on the polished steel candle base. The result is a cool looking ice shade for your tea light.
Apparently, the ice takes about 3 hours to melt away entirely and the water empties back into the silicone mold underneath. So, theoretically at least, you will have an interesting looking candle without a lot of cleanup. I don’t know if I’m buying that but I definitely think that the Thaw Ice Candle could be a fun and unique way to set the mood.
