It looks as if the tide is turning on the Blu-ray vs HD DVD format war – and things are coming up Sony.
According to Nelsen VideoScan, Blu-ray is quickly catching up to HD DVD. In fact, for the first two weeks of January 2007 Blu-ray has outsold HD DVD by more than 2 to 1.
Whether this change is the result of more PS3s in the pipeline, a lack of new HD DVD titles, or a combination of both remains unclear – but at this rate Blu-ray could win the war despite having the odds stacked against them. Still, I have to believe that the cheaper HD DVD format with it’s upcoming library of porn will win out in the end. After all, you just can’t compete with the promise of boners and a little extra spending cash.
