CES 2007: Philips Wireless HDMI

Philips Wireless HDMI

Philips has come out with a Wireless HDMI solution for getting the video source to your HDTV without having to run cables. Now granted, for normal HDTV’s it is more a matter of room setup, but with the increasing numbers of projectors out there, this simplifies the setup. No expensive cables to run. No worrying about trying to run cables through attics and crawl spaces to try to hide wires.

This HDMI 1.3 compliant device utilizes UWB to avoid interference from other wireless signals. It will deliver a non-compressed signal with no loss up to 25 feet. Available in May for $300.
