Download Movies, Burn Them - Coming in 2007 (Maybe)

Time Warner announced that in 2007 they plan to offer a service for their customers to download a movie and burn it to DVD. They also claim that they plan to release them the same day the DVD is released. Sounds great to me, but have they run this by the MPAA yet? Somehow, with the way the MPAA likes to squelch services that are convenient, I don’t see this working as nicely as both Time Warner and consumers would like. Let’s hope Time Warner has the clout to get it done.
