If You Didn’t Think Evil Dead Could Inspire a Boombox Design, Think Again

One look at this boombox confirms that I haven’t seen it all. Not even close.

Toy designer Spanky Stokes recently had a Boombox-tastic Custom Show featuring all sorts of custom pieces from an assortment of artists. The Necronombox by Josh Marlar was part of the show. It’s inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and Evil Dead, and besides looking completely awesome, it’s functional. It can stream mp3s by Bluetooth, or you can plug your mp3 player directly into it.

Marlar used “Super Sculpey, Premo Sculpey, Golden Liquid Acrylics, Minwax, Minwax Polyurethane, and Half Marbles” to create this ‘lil monster. It’s worth putting down your boomstick for.
