Firefox has begun an ad contest, asking you to create a 30-second ad, in any style (live action, animated, Flash, and so on) that brings Firefox to life for the millions of Web users who have yet to discover Firefox and the better Web experience it delivers. They have quite a bit of information on their page here. They provide you with the target audience they are looking to reach so you are not guessing who they expect to watch it. Contest runs from December 21, 2005 through March 31, 2006. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on March 31, 2006. They offer some cool prizes, if you need a tangible reason to work on this.
I have used Firefox for a while, up until the point my system had some issues and would no longer run it. I plan to reinstall the newest version, I was much happier using that than IE. Tabbed browsing and what is widely reported as better security are two of the reasons I use it. So, if you are already playing around with animation, or are looking for a way to get some return on your new video camera, give it a shot. What have you got to lose? Their goal is to increase awareness of their product, and that is not a bad thing.
