Home Server

Microsoft is opening up their Windows Home Server Beta program to a larger group of outside testers. Until now, they have used employees and business partners to test with. They say that the ideal tester will have multiple PC’s, a router, high speed access and one PC that can be dedicated to the Home Server. Microsoft has their page with the survey to see if you are a good match here. It only takes about 30 seconds.

The Home Server sounds like an interesting concept. Maybe I share more data around the home than the average person, but there is more and need to with all the audio and video downloads out there. Will this OS serve the purpose? If I get the Beta, I will let you know.
