Gmail Flaw Explained

GmailMany Gmail users are reporting that they have been recieving email intended for other users. The reason? Dots in the address like “your.username@gmail.com.”

Apparently Gmail does not recognize these dots, therefore “your.username” is considered the same as “yourusername” – and email for both users will appear randomly in both accounts. Unfortunately, Gmail does not prevent the registration of these types of addresses, so the problem is spreading.

And here I was wondering why Gmail is still in beta.
