Google Ads on Google Maps

Proving that there is a way to make money off any new technology, Google is working on adding clickable icons to their Google Maps that will bring up a logo and business name. In addition, any business that chose to advertise would have their ad pop up alongside the graphical representation when certain search terms were used.
I have liked the direction and tone that Google has taken for the most part, with a few exceptions. I really have no problem with this tactic. For one, some people would find it handier and more convenient to use than a yellow pages type service. For another, we all know that when using Google that paid ad’s are shown based on the search terms as well, but they are kept clearly marked and they don’t intrude on my surfing. I know they are there, and if I choose to use them that is my choice. If I choose not to, they are not obnoxiously in the way.
With all the interesting things that Google keep scoming out with, I say let them add a little advertising to make some money, as long as it does not interfere with my experience.
