Google Offers Video and Software Downloads; Announces ‘Google Pack’

GoogleAccording to various sources, Google will announce an addition to Google Video Search that will allow users to purchase and download videos via its homepage. The announcement could come as early as today.

The content will be provided through partnerships with major networks and organizations like CBS and the NBA.

Google also expected to reveal the contents of “Google Pack,” which is essentially a bundle of applications that have been ”Google tweaked.” The pack is expected to include modified versions of Firefox, Adobe Acrobat Reader, antivirus software from Symantec, AdAware, and Trillian. There will also be some Google favorites like - Google Desktop Search, Picasa, Google Earth, Google Talk, RealPlayer, and the Google Toolbar.
