Google Word Processing Software

Google Google has publicly acknowledged that it has recently purchased the company that makes “Writely,” a web based word processing feature that is embedded in a web browser.

As many of you know, Google has been making a push recently to develop applications for the desktop – most notably with the release of the Google Pack.

Could this be another attempt by Google to cut into Microsoft’s business?
