Government Anti-Drug Videos on YouTube

The US Government is posting it’s already aired anti-drug commercials onto YouTube. They claim this is a free way for them to get their message out. I can’t argue that it is free. However, I doubt that anyone searching YouTube for drug related videos is looking for an anti-drug commercial. It would seem more likely to be used as amusement.

Still, misguided as it may seem, I think they are truly using it to try to discourage drug use, and putting the videos on YouTube does give them the possibility of being seen by a wider audience. I say misguided, because it doesn’t seem to be the correct forum, people who are looking to watch them are probably those that don’t want to do drugs already. I leave it at “no harm, no foul”.
