MS Office 2007 Delayed to January Also

It may not be as big a deal as the Vista launch being pushed out to 2007, but Microsoft is also delaying the introduction of their newest Office until 2007 as well. While the code will be ready to launch this year, they are obviously looking to launch it in conjunction with Vista. This should make a bigger splash as well as allow them to tailor the marketing campaign to incorporate both launches simultaneously.
Whereas the Vista delay looks to really change the 2006 outlook for PC and hardware vendors, they don’t see the same effect from this delay. And just like Vista, owners of volume licenses will be able to get this upgrade earlier, in this case October.
