RoadRunner Upping Some Download Speeds

It appears that RoadRunner is doubling their download speed in certain markets. I say in certain markets because I use RoadRunner and I have not seen the reported email. Sucks for me I guess.

Below is an excerpt from the email.

In the first quarter of 2007, Road Runner will be doubling the download speed for its residential customers to 10 Mbps. Our Time Warner Cable Business Class customers will experience similar increases in speed.* The same monthly price that you’ve been paying will stay the same.

As just about everyone has noted, increased download speed is nice, but the upload speed is where there is a bigger issue. Running at 384k up while 10 MB down seems pretty silly. Some of us do more than look at YouTube videos all day.
