Sling Media has announced at MacWorld that they are in the process of developing a SlingPlayer Mac for all those Apple users. Their press release says that te software is currently in alpha, but that they expect to have it released by the second quarter of 2006 for an MSRP of $249.95.

Offering the same ability to watch your main TV programming from anywhere you can receive a broadband connection, you can also use the on screen remote to control that source’s functions as well as a DVR.

One of the more popular devices released in the last six months, I am sure all the die hard Apple users are glad to see that some companies are willing to support them. Consistently reviewed as the best platform for multimedia, it would be a shame for any of these new devices not to have Apple support in their future.

Check out the full press release here.
