Spider Legs Bicycle For The Tour de Hell [Video]

The California art and engineering collective Carv created this Theo Jansen Strandbeest-inspired bicycle that is completely impractical and weird, but also strangely fascinating.

I know the perfect person to ride it.

The device utilizes walking spider legs in place of a rear wheel and was built over a 700 hour period using 450 custom made components. Needless to say, it would generate a ton of attention on the street, but probably just as much frustration when you’re in a hurry.
