I just love the miniaturizatoin of current technologies. Not only because I think it is a great technological achievement, but as things become smaller there are more things that can be done with it. This miniature video projector is a case in point.

While there is still one stumbling block yet to over come, the idea is there. The projector uses one single mirror that can be moved on two axes. Shine red, gree and blue diode lasers on it and you have a projector. The problem is the green laser. They have not miniaturized it to the same degree as the blue and red. I would have to assume that it is just a matter of time. A solution is found for all of these issues seem to be found, and in a very short period of time.

This miniaturization will eadl to the ability to add it to more and smaller devices. Put it in any device and it can be a mobile projector. A cellphone, a PDA, you name it. Not to mention a tiny litelt ohme projector that may not even need active cooling, thta could lead to a home projector that is whisper quiet. This just makes possible a greater number of future advancements.
