Just one correction: The eyes aren’t transparent (you can’t see through them to the contents inside). The three jars are meant for storing tea, coffee and sugar, and the small white reflection drawn on the one of the eyes is in the shape of either a T, C or S to denote what is (supposed to be) inside each.
Yes you are right Sam, they had a symbol in their eyes, so we can recognize them from that symbols.
