ZDNet Executive Editor David Berlind has an amusing, yet very true, analysis of the current state of DRM in this video. Not a whole lot to say about it other than his new acronym for DRM, CRAP, is right on the money. These tech companies should know that they are going to have a revolt over the DRM restrictions on their hands at some point. And when technical publications like ZDNet refer to the whole silly current state of affairs as CRAP and essentially advocate consumers to boycott it, then DRM will either have a short lifespan or a drastically reduced customer base. Not soon enough.
