113 MPH Dining Table Sets Record For Fastest Piece Of Furniture

From That’s Nerdalicious!: I wouldn’t ask to be excused from a dinner table at Perry Watkins’ house. You could wind up skidding along the pavement at 113 mph.

Watkins recently set the Guinness record for the world’s fastest piece of furniture with a dining table set for a silver service dinner. Dubbed “Fast Food,” the table hit a max speed of 130 mph and an average of 113 mph while blazing down a 500m track.

The table is powered by a 1994 Reliant Scimitar Sabre engine boosted by nitrous.

Remember, Watkins’ dinner parties are white tie affairs. And by “white tie” I mean you should come dressed like the Stig.
