Twitter can be a dangerous place for excitable fans. It’s all too easy to interpret tweets between actors and creators that could be completely innocuous as something more. For example: recent tweets from actress Sophia Myles about talking with Steven Moffat could be nothing. Or it could mean her beloved character from “The Girl in the Fireplace” is coming back to Doctor Who.
Myles portrayed Madame de Pompadour opposite David Tennant. She had amazing chemistry with the Doctor; he showed a kind of love for her that I hadn’t noticed from him before. She made an impression, and it would be wonderful to have her back on the series. It seems likely from her tweets after the break that the call was about Who:
