George R.R. Martin “Has A Lot More Flexibility For Killing People”

As if there aren’t enough people who have died throughout the series, George R.R. Martin bloodlust appears to be reaching a point where there is little need for restraint. According to BuzzFeed, while speaking at an event at the Freemason’s Hall in London, Martin said:

The way my books are structured, everyone was together, then they all went their separate ways and the story deltas out like that, and now it’s getting to the point where the story is beginning to delta back in, and the viewpoint characters are occasionally meeting up with each other now and being in the same point at the same time, which gives me a lot more flexibility for killing people.”

Oh, that’s just fantastic. Why do I get the feeling that the Red Wedding may end up looking like a lovely afternoon tea party once this is all over?
