If you thought TSA full-body scanning was a perverted invasion of privacy, just imagine if this imaging technology was in the hands of that creepy neighbor of yours. In the video after the break, Jeri Ellsworth shows us that it is possible to make a similar scanner at home using feed horns from satellite dishes.
Of course, this relatively inexpensive hack isn’t anywhere near as accurate as the expensive and proprietary TSA tech (it scans objects on a centimeter level as opposed to a millimeter level), but it’s still a bit unsettling. If you do have a creepy, nerdy neighbor that’s really into building stuff, I suggest stocking up on some of this 4th Amendment underwear just in case.
