We all know branches have been shaking at Lucasfilm and LucasArts lately, and they’ve lost leaves. However, one piece of good news out of the cancellation of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is that Supervising Director Dave Filoni stated he is working on the new animated series that Lucasfilm teased. Fans are hypothesizing about what the new series could cover, and a post recently showed up on an IMDB message board with supposed news on the project.
The poster claims to be an ex-employee of Lucasfilm and posts a treatment for a new series called Star Wars: Reclamation.
might be talking about this. we’d been working on details of it since early last year but didn’t know the details until a few months ago. got the greenlight in january but stopped everything when the layoffs hit.
i could probably get in trouble, but oh wait, i don’t work there anymore.
From the concept:
Reclamation is a character driven war epic set in the storied Star Wars universe… it will be an all new story designed to introduce the audience to themes and characters pivotal to Episode VII and beyond.
It goes on to state that the series takes place fifteen years after Return of the Jedi. Names such as Mon Mothma, Leia Organa, Sky Bonteri (the Bonteri family appeared in The Clone Wars), and level 1313 are mentioned. Some parts of this add up – like the time period and the characters – but ultimately, it could be an elaborate fan hoax. I wouldn’t put it past anyone to cobble together fan fiction and turn it into a treatment. Only time will tell, but I’d recommend taking this with a huge grain of salt. Multiple huge grains of salt.
Check out the images of the treatment after the break.
