It’s a Good Day When NBC And Supervillain Drama Go In The Same Headline

It makes me happy when networks such as NBC turn to comic books for new projects. In this case, they’re going after Hench. The comic by Adam Beechen and Manny Bello follows your average guy who’s having a rough time making ends meet. Because he has nothing left, he turns to doing temp work for supervillains. Sometimes you’ve just got to do whatever it takes to pay the bills.

I think the idea sounds like it would fit right into the television format. Maybe we’d get a different villain with every episode with a few big bads who come up again and again. It will be spun as a “high-concept drama” and will be written by Alexandra Cunningham. Now if we could just get Powers on the screen…
