Katee Sackhoff Talks Wanting To Play Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, And Han Solo

Katee Sackhoff kicks butt. The talented actress will long be remembered for her role as Starbuck in the new Battlestar Galactica, and she’s stayed busy since then. Most recently, she took on a role in a Riddick. She spoke with Total Film about the role, and they ventured into other territory – like comic books and Star Wars. Sackhoff is more than willing to take on iconic roles and even auditioned for the Wonder Woman television show:

I remember auditioning for the Wonder Woman television show and being told that I wasn’t the Wonder Woman type, but if I wanted to play the best friend, I could audition for that.

And remember thinking to myself, ‘You obviously haven’t seen my work!

As cool as Wonder Woman is, she would love to get a chance to play Harley Quinn and this isn’t the first time she’s expressed her love for the character. She told Total Film:

I would love to play Harley Quinn. I just think it’s amazing. I mean I think I might give away my firstborn to have an opportunity to play Harley Quinn…

I love trying to understand the villain, and trying to understand the things they do and why they do them, and I’ve always found her and The Joker, you almost can’t understand them. And it makes it so much more interesting because everything’s fair game, and I love that. I loved the usefulness of her, I thought that was interesting, and I just think that it’s a fantastic character.

And as far as Star Wars, she wouldn’t mind playing in that universe either. She’s already voiced a fantastic character on The Clone Wars and is a fan of Han Solo but getting involved in the new movies wouldn’t stink:

If J.J. would listen, I would play a rock in the Star Wars movies. I think that they’re fantastic, I think that he’s a great choice, and I’m excited to see what happens in that world.

I’d love to see Sackhoff in any or all of these roles. She would even manage to make a rock interesting.
