Star Wars licensees got a peek at what Lucasfilm has planned for the next couple years and, thanks to Jedi News, now you can to. This page from a brochure given to people attending the Brand Licensing Europe show lays out the timeline for upcoming Star Wars projects through Star Wars Episode VII.
It confirms Episode VII for Spring/Summer 2015 and Star Wars Rebels for Fall/Winter 2014, but the most interesting bit involves Darth Vader TV specials slated for Spring/Summmer 2014.
Multiple Darth Vader specials? I’m not sure what to think about this just yet. Are they going to cover the time between Episodes III and IV? It might be a way to expand on his rise within the Empire and his establishing as Lord Vader.
Or, it could be like the Star Wars Holiday Special. The mention of a Phineas and Ferb Star Wars Special worries me just a bit.
Granted, it’s just a page in a brochure and not much to go on, but I’d be interested to see what else people were told about the licensing opportunities for the specials.
What do you guys think?
