Let these “Magic Gears” created by puzzle designer Oskar van Deventer wash over you. From the description:
Magic Gears Grid is a triangular grid of Magic Gears. As everybody knows, adjacent gears are supposed to turn in an opposite direction, and gears should be gridlocked when meshed in a triangular grid. However, it works for magic gears. Magic Gear Grid has a total of 19 magic gears in a triangular grid, one of which has a crank. When the crank is turned, then magic gears with the green side up turn clockwise, those with the red side up turn counter-clockwise (anti-clockwise). Surprising, isn’t it?
Surprising AND soothing.
