Ever wonder what a sequel to Batman & Robin would be like? No? Of course you didn’t. Odds are you wanted to forget that it ever existed. If that’s the case then we have some terrible and shocking news for you. According to Bleeding Cool, Joel Schumacher will to continue the saga in a 12-issue comic series drawn by Dustin Nguyen that’s based on the script for Batman Triumphant—the third and final installment of a Schumacher Batman trilogy that never happened.

According to the Batman Wiki, the Scarecrow would have been the main villain of the film with Harley Quinn playing the Joker’s daughter who is bent on revenge for her father’s death. The Joker himself would also return as a hallucination caused by Scarecrow’s fear toxin.

So, we’re going to get to see the crazy that would have been a fifth movie? I have to admit—as a series of comics, this could be kind of fun. Of course, nothing is set in stone until an official announcement is made.

On that note, you’ll want to check out the video of Schumacher apologizing for Batman & Robin after the break so that you can complete the healing process before the comics are released.
