H.P. Lovecraft’s former home (during the period of April 1926 to May 1933) in Providence, Rhode Island is available for rent! This cozy one bedroom studio is described as a “beautifully sun-drenched, spacious studio unit” in a neighborhood that’s “one of the quietest, greenest and safest on College Hill with mostly faculty, professionals and some graduate students living here.”
(Don’t be fooled though. Unspeakable horror also lives there. It’s lurking around every corner.)
But don’t take the current occupant’s word for it (he must be pure evil to have survived there this long), here’s what Lovecraft himself had to say about the place…
As for the place—I have a fine large ground-floor room (a former dining room with fireplace) and kitchenette alcove in a spacious brown Victorian wooden house at the 1880 period—a house, curiously enough, built by some friends of my own family, now long dead.
