There are people on this planet who will pay good money to be scared to death. If you’re one of them, you may want to take part in the Great Horror Campout.
The GHC describes itself as a “choose your own adventure” overnight, interactive camping experience. It takes place from 8pm to 8am, and during that time you may be “forcibly handled, moved, bound, hooded, chained and subjected to simulated torture by our actors. You may witness strong verbal content, which may be considered offensive in nature.”
Of course, it’s all in good fun. Mmmhmm.
Tickets for the L.A. version are on sale now for $159-$223 per person. It’s being held in Griffith Park on June 6-7. Other cities will follow over the course of the summer.
Your admission includes a tent, a hot buffet-style dinner, continental breakfast, parking, Hell Hunt Experience (Rewards, Prizes, Scare Environments), roasting marshmallows, horror movies and more.
They even have events for people like me in the “Chicken Zones” and you can stop the event at any time by shouting the phrase “I want my mommy!”
