James Cameron basically spilled the beans back in February, but Fox has removed all doubt by officially announcing that the Avatar DVD and Blu-ray editions will drop on April 22nd. Unfortunately, these versions will only be in 2D and sans bonus features. Apparently they needed every GB of disk space to deliver the film in all of its digital glory.
If you are patient enough though, a multi-disk version with loads of bonus material is expected to arrive in November, with the ultimate 3D version following sometime next year.
