It seems we’re all in for some new behind-the-scenes Star Wars footage thanks to a recently found laserdisc. Three separate videos were posted on Facebook featuring R2-D2 repairing Luke’s X-Wing, Frank Oz voicing Yoda, and Luke and Yoda talking in his hut. The clips are brief, but there is more to come.
The laserdisc has about half an hour of footage from Return of the Jedi and it will be released to the public in bits and pieces. It’s all from the now defunct Lucasfilm technology called EditDroid that was the precursor to digital editing tools like Avid and FinalCut Pro.
