Back in 2012, an estimate put the cost of building a real Death Star at $852 quadrillion with a build time of 833,315 years. A new estimate has revealed that the cost of running the Death Star for JUST ONE DAY would be even more ridiculous.
Ovo Energy, an energy supply company based in Bristol, England, crunched the numbers with help from Alexander Barnett, a math professor at Dartmouth University, and Stephen Skolnick, editor of Physics Central. They came up with a figure of £6 octillion, which is 30 trillion times more than all of the money on earth.
