Jodorowsky’s Dune is the movie that never happened but so many people wish had, if only because they wanted to see just what mind blowing concepts Chilean director Alejandro Jodorowsky would create with Frank Herbert’s book.
Way before David Lynch ever made his version, Jodorowsky envisioned Salvador Dali as Shaddam the IV and bribed Orson Welles with a personal chef to get him on board. He also enlisted H.R. Giger before he’d done any movies at all. Can you imagine how epic this movie would have been?
However, as I said, it never happened and is known as one of the greatest movies never made.
Luckily, a new documentary called Jodorowsky’s Dune is being released on March 7th that promises to shed some light on what could have been. Check out the trailer after the break.
