Warner Bros. has pushed back the release for the highly anticipated Superman vs. Batman movie to May 6, 2016—almost an entire year after the original date. Their untitled Peter Pan movie will move in to fill the void.
According to Deadline, a studio exec chimed in on the news saying “We just want to do it right and need the time”.
Disappointing, surely, but it’s probably best to take the extra time to get it right. Given all of the news surrounding the production of Star Wars Episode VII, one has to wonder whether Disney should follow the same logic.
