John Carpenter’s They Live came out in 1988, but it’s still thriving in Los Angeles. Artists Stephen Zeigler and Calder Greenwood created a living tribute to the film by installing signage and putting an actor dressed as one of the aliens from the movie on the streets. The messages in their art aren’t subliminal, and you don’t need special sunglasses to spot out of place weird businessmen. If anything, the movie’s message about commercialism is even more relevant in today’s times.
See more of the art tribute after the break.
